We are dedicated to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for all employees, contractors, customers, and visitors across our corporate offices, regional sites, and warehouses. Our commitment also extends throughout our value chain, ensuring safety standards are upheld by our partners and suppliers.

At Wavetel Business Limited’s corporate and regional locations, occupational health considerations are essential due to the nature of our work environment. The primary focus areas include ergonomics, health impacts, communicable diseases, food safety, and business travel security.

Supply Chain Safety and Risk Management

Identifying and mitigating risks associated with unsafe work environments and practices are critical aspects of our supply chain management. Key concerns include health and safety risks from improper or non-use of personal protective equipment, unsafe material handling, unplanned or hazardous travel, and other occupational hazards.

Governance

The Chief Channel Partners Manager reporting to the CEO, holds primary responsibility for ensuring safe, efficient, and legally compliant operations across all Wavetel Business Limited locations. Supporting this effort, regional and location heads lead health and safety initiatives, working alongside legal and compliance teams in their respective areas.

Additionally, every employee—whether as an individual, manager, or functional owner—plays a role in upholding and promoting a safe workplace. Health and safety are embedded within our corporate governance framework, with oversight provided by the Audit, Risk, and Compliance Committee.

Our Approach

We adopt a comprehensive and integrated approach to health and safety, focusing on both preventive and mitigation measures.

  • Holistic Programs: Designed to support individuals across all life stages, addressing both mental and physical well-being.
  • Integrated Approach: Encourages positive health and safety behaviors through company-led initiatives, structured programs, and incentive-based compensation and benefits.
  • Preventive Measures: Encompass compliance with management systems and regulations, awareness campaigns, open communication, and feedback mechanisms such as Location H&S Councils, Joint Health & Safety Committees, lifestyle awareness sessions, and employee assistance programs.
  • Mitigation Measures: Focus on effective incident response, recovery processes, and post-incident support.

Objectives

  • Implement and maintain a robust Health & Safety (H&S) management system at Wavetel owned premises. For leased and customer-operated locations, we will collaborate with property owners and customers to align with the same standards.
  • Proactively identify, evaluate, and manage health and safety risks across our operations and supply chain.
  • Take preventive measures to reduce workplace injuries and illnesses, ensuring a safe and healthy environment by continuously adapting to industry best practices and evolving societal standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable H&S regulations and any other commitments we adhere to.
  • Establish objectives and targets that drive continuous improvement in our health and safety performance.
  • Foster employee participation through consultation and feedback, while providing relevant training—both general and role-specific—to enhance safety awareness and performance.
  • Conduct regular internal and independent assessments to evaluate compliance with H&S management systems and overall performance.
  • Transparently publish independently verified H&S data and certifications, covering aspects such as indoor and ambient air quality, water quality, noise levels, and incident/injury statistics.
